FAQs

How long does it take from survey to installation?

1

Most residential installs are completed within 3-6 weeks from confirming your quote, depending on equipment lead times & any DNO application required. The on-site installation process typically lasts for 1-3 days.

Do I need planning permission for solar panels?

2

Usually no - Solar PV typically falls under ‘permitted development’ for the vast majority of homes. If you’re in a conservation area or have a listed property, we’ll advise during survey on what the next steps are.

Do I need a DNO application?

3

If the system design is greater than 3.68kW, then we will need submit an application to your DNO (Distribution Network Operator). We manage the DNO paperwork for you & keep you updated, including any any export limits or requirements that could affect the system design.

Could I benefit from battery storage?

4

Yes. Batteries help you use more of your solar in the evenings & reduce reliance on the grid. We’ll recommend a battery size based on your usage & goals.
